Unfortunately, “Free Resources” are the most damaging resources you can seek! Why?
While there may be some educational value... and you might be able to might pick up a trick or two... most business challenges are unique to the business, the market, the industry, and so on.
According to Winton Churchill, one of the foremost experts on lead generation, “Free resources will pull you into the quicksand faster than any thing I know.”
He tells the story of a prospective client who approached him because their business model relied heavily on search engine traffic. One of their people heard about a trick that could increase their ranking substantially.
He reports, “They tried it and it didn't work. Even worse, it seemed to cause them to lose what ranking they had!”
